There are two main kinds of connection mode of gas spring: pin shaft type hingeand ball hinge.
Ball hinge is divided into: metal ball head and the plastic ball head.

Pin connection, the reliability is good, but is difficult to manufacture, cost is high, andthe use of gas spring is required higher direction (i.e. gas spring in the process of movement, the axial pin shaft swing should be within 5 DEG).
The ball head connection, the stress is uniform, use the direction of gas spring forlow (up to ± 30 °). The manufacturing difficulty and cost are low.
Among them, the metal ball head connection, because the installation steps of snap ring, so assembly than plastic ball head connection is a little more complex.
